JOB PURPOSE
				To monitor, control, and support drilling and workover operations on a 24 hours a day basis based on
				directing and monitoring contractor’s activities at assigned rigs ensuring optimization of operational
				processes whilst controlling drilling materials and supplies in compliance with set policy, procedures
				and
				standards.
			
MAIN ACCOUNTABILITIES
Description
Policies, Processes and Procedures
- Applies approved section policies, processes, and procedures and
 monitors adherence so that work is carried out in a controlled
 manner.
Day- to-day operations
- Applies the day-to-day operations assigned for the section to
 ensure compliance with the established standards and procedures.
Coordination With Contractors
-  Liaises with contractors to discuss and coordinate daily drilling &
 workover operations and monitors & inspects contractors’ activities
 to ensure compliance with the terms and conditions of contract, and
 reports any discrepancy between contract and actual work to the
 Supervisor.
- Reviews, checks and compiles daily work reports /field service
 report prepared by contractors on concerned work progress and
  Efficient coordination with contractors
 and various service providers.
  Timely completion of scheduled drilling
 tasks.
  Service orders
 reports to the Supervisor.
- Prepares and issues service orders to ensure smooth operations
Drilling Operations
- Coordinates and supports drilling and workover operations, rig
 move and anchor handling/tug/supply boats’ and helicopters’
 activities at onshore base on a 24 hours a day basis.
- Provides instructions and support to Drilling Rig Supervisor, and
 receives reports from him. Orders, instructs and coordinates with
 service contractors for material supplies and operational services.
- Reviews and checks drilling and workover programs. Provides
 operational procedures and confirms it with Drilling Rig Supervisor
 at every step of drilling and workover operations and ensures that
 all activities are carried out in accordance with the Company’s
 policies and procedures.
- Reviews and checks daily drilling and workover operation report.
 Checks and verifies drilling parameters, material supply and
 consumption, costs, and other associated information. Prepares
 operations summary or status reports as instructed. Distributes
 regular operational reports to designated destinations.
Material Control
- Supports procurement of services and material supplies in
 accordance with approved operation programs and coordinates
 logistic supporting activities and ensures operations are adequately
 and timely supported with required resources for timely completion
 of tasks.
- Monitors resource consumption during execution of drilling
 operations and activities.
Contracts Management
- Coordinate with contractors and supports Drilling operations under
 execution by external service providers to ensure compliance with
 the terms and conditions of contract, and reports any discrepancy
 between contract and actual work to his supervisor.
- Reviews, checks & compiles daily work reports prepared by
 contractors on work progress and reports to the Supervisor.
Reporting
- Prepares and delivers daily drilling and workover operation report
 including various drilling parameters, material supply and
 consumption, costs, and other associated information.
Budget
- Assists the Supervisor in review and control on expenditures,
 focusing on all Drilling & Workover operation and contracts in line
 with Departmental goals.
Safety, Health & Environment
- Complies with all relevant safety, health and environmental
 procedures to ensure a healthy and safe work environment
Insurance
- Related Assignments
- Performs other related duties or assignments as directed.
Reporting
- Assists in the preparation of timely and accurate reports for section
 in order to meet Company and section requirements, policies and
 standards

COMMUNICATIONS & WORKING RELATIONSHIPS
Internal:
				Communicates with extensively with Drilling Rig Supervisor (Offshore) and Section Supervisor. Regular
				communication
				with Drilling Engineers and Material & Supply Section. Frequent coordination with other departments like
				Materials,
				Contracts, Finance, ESD, OFD, OND, TMD, MSSD, PCD, etc.
External:
Coordination with Contractors and Service providers
QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, & LANGUAGE SKILLS
Academic and professional qualifications:
				Bachelor degree in Petroleum Engineering
				Or
				Technical diploma in related petroleum engineering field
Experience:
				Bachelor: Minimum 8 years of experience with 4 years in a supervisory position in directing and
				monitoring
				contractor’s activities
				Or
				Diploma: minimum 14 years of experience in drilling rig operations in directing and monitoring
				contractor’s
				activities
Languages:
Minimum English language required is KJO L5 – Upper-Intermediate
